Where this is going
The mockup this is built to shows assessments, certifications, XP and a leaderboard. Those need member accounts, which do not exist yet — and the obvious way to do it is Discord sign-in, since that is already how AGN knows who somebody is. That is a decision for staff rather than something to assume, so for now the learning and the recovery work without an account and nothing is recorded against anyone.
Security recovery is deliberately usable without signing in. Requiring a Discord login to report a stolen Discord account would be a poor joke at the worst possible moment.
